Rara Factory, on the Provincial Road 111, is located in the stunning hilly area of Cacciata, coming from Orvieto towards the small village of Porano, a large area planted with olive trees, vineyards and wheat fields, but also a wooded area. Once inhabited by farmers and peasants, today it is the favorite destination for a niche tourism, where even people from the world of art and culture have chosen their home here. The area, considered a natural terrace, overlooks Orvieto’s cliff, with the magnificent Cathedral and medieval culture. You can reach the historic center in 10 minutes by car, as well as the main means of communication, the Autostrada A1, the train station of Orvieto Scalo and the main commercial services. Civita di Bagnoregio and Bolsena Lake are just 15 minutes away. In 1 hour you can reach Siena and in 1 hour and a half Assisi. The closest airport is Roma Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci.
We are in a geographically strategic position to visit the local farms, oil mills and important wineries. You can also enjoy you stay with the farms producing cheeses and derivatives, sheep and goats, and visit the small traditional art shops.
